Who is AMG?

AMG is a full service engineering consulting firm that provides a broad range of design and construction support services to various chemical processing and related heavy industrial segments. We execute projects ranging from a few thousand dollars to more than $150MM. We are known for our practical, common sense approach to solving challenging problems as well as our project organizational structure that allows us to be nimble and responsive.
Founded on a vision
February 29, 1980 - Dayton, Ohio

Alberto Mendez, Sr. started AMG, Inc. with a commitment to providing a new level of service to engineering clients in the food and feed ingredients industries. This new company was founded on a vision of providing hands-on, client-focused design and engineering services.

Still today, the AMG, Inc. team embraces a hands-on, practical approach to projects. AMG, Inc. leverages leading-edge technology, client collaboration, and the development of new and better techniques, to deliver an improved project experience for our clients.

AMG produces its first 3D virtual reality project walk-through for a client.

2019 - Modular Design
AMG designs a revolutionary new system for Precision Extraction. The first unit shipped will make its owner the largest hemp processor in Europe.
2015 - Organizational Evolution
AMG appoints a new team of officers to lead continued business expansion and development.

AMG begins using Bentley ProjectWise to securely manage Building Information Modeling (BIM).
2004 - Design Build Growth
AMG finishes two design/build projects to solvent extract DHA oil and ARA oil in Kingstree, SC.

AMG begins design build work with a spray dryer addition for micro algae biomass in Winchester, KY.
2000 - First of its Kind
AMG finishes the design and commissioning on the first corn wet milling facility & glucose refinery in the Gulf Cooperation Council region of the Middle East.

AMG begins work on its first $100 million constructed value project, an ethanol production facility in Nebraska.

AMG begins creating 3D drawings and visualizations.
